Truseal Insulation & A Panel Discussion on : Sealed Crawl Spaces

Workshop_on_Sealed_Crawl_Spaces

Learn about sealed crawl spaces, the differences in insulation products,
HVAC systems and how the Green Building Standard works with
crawl spaces in new construction and renovations.

Truseal Insulation has been working with builders and home owners to bring this Green Building Standard into the forefront of construction practises.

Two reasons to ask for a closed crawl space :

1.  Sealing your crawl space keeps mold away with a high quality moisture barrier and converts it into a semi-conditioned dry space.

2.  Closed crawl spaces have been proven to save homeowners money on their energy bill.

Insulate your Home for the Winter

If you are considering winter upgrades for your home, you will want to take a look at the benefits to be found in Spray Foam Insulation:

  • Stops air and moisture infiltration
  • Makes your home more comfortable
  • Saves on energy costs – Spray Foam is used to seal the entire “building envelope” of your home to prevent air and moisture infiltration. The US Department of Energy (DOE) studies show that 40% of your home’s energy is lost due to air infiltration.
  • Adds strength to the building structure
  • It is permanent and will not sag
  • Keeps dust and pollen out
  • Reduces capacity requirements, maintenance and wear of HVAC equipment

If you have questions on how Spray Foam Insulation does all the above feel free to send your questions in through our “Contact” page or send an email to Truseal Insulation at navid@uimagineit.com.

Extension of Energy Efficiency Tax Credits

Congress Extends Federal Tax Credit for Energy Efficient Homes and Other Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credits

On December 16, 2010, Congress extended the $2,000 federal tax credit for builders who build energy efficient homes. The extension is from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011. The extension was part of a sweeping tax package negotiated by the White House and Republican Congressional leaders.

The legislation also includes a provision that extends the tax credit for consumers who purchase qualified energy saving products, such as spray foam insulation, but lowers the credit to its pre-economic recovery act levels. The new bill extends the credit to the end of 2011, but reduces the incentive to the original 10% up to $500.

President Obama is expected to sign the legislation into law this week.
